An innovative campaign to raise awareness of cardiac arrest

Every year, 50,000 people in France suffer cardiac arrest. Yet few people are familiar with the actions that can save a life. With #CrushForLife, happn and Staying Alive are committed to helping you better understand these first-aid gestures, essential for maximizing chances of survival in an emergency.

How does it work?

For two weeks, you'll be able to Crush with authentic firefighter profiles on the app, thanks to the support of the Fédération nationale des sapeurs-pompiers de France. These special profiles will help you discover essential tips and information on cardiovascular risk prevention and first aid.

You'll learn how to perform cardiac massage and use a defibrillator in a series of offbeat, educational films. Each interaction will give you a better understanding of the importance of knowing how to react in the event of cardiac arrest.

The bold idea behind this campaign, devised by Accenture Song, is a light-hearted, offbeat approach to a crucial public health issue. With over 70% of cardiac arrests occurring in the presence of witnesses but with only 10% surviving, it's time to act. Thanks to this operation, you can not only meet new people but also become a player in the chain of survival.

What do the singles say?

According to a survey of happn users, 98% believe raising awareness of first aid is important. Yet only 38% have received recent training, and many don't feel confident using a defibrillator. That's where #CrushForLife comes in, to help you change that, one Crush at a time.
